Common Prayer, Book of (engl., spr. buck ŏf komm'n prehr), die engl. Kirchenagende, 1548 zusammengestellt durch Erzbischof Cranmer, 1552, 1559, 1604 und 1662 revidiert, letztere Revision vom Parlament bestätigt, noch gegenwärtig Norm der Anglikan. Kirche, doch mit einigen 1872 eingeführten Verbesserungen; auch von der amerik. bischöfl. Kirche mit einigen Abweichungen angenommen. – Vgl. Daniel (16. Aufl. 1892), Maude (1899).
